Chiller & Heater (Heating / Cooling Circulator)

Lab Chiller and Heater Circulator - −100 °C to +200 °C

Chiller & heater units combine cooling and heating in a single circulator, eliminating the need for separate refrigeration and oil bath systems. The GDX series covers −30 °C, −40 °C, −80 °C and −100 °C minimums with 200 °C maximum, supporting continuous temperature ramps for jacketed reactors, crystallization trains and pilot-scale chemistry. Standard, explosion-proof and PLC-touchscreen variants are available for research and regulated production environments.

Catalog Highlights

What the product catalog adds

These points are drawn from the supplied LM product catalog and turned into buyer-facing detail.

The catalog frames GDX units as integrated heating, cooling and pre-cooling systems for circulation loops.

PLC touchscreen and explosion-proof variants are explicit product branches in the catalog.

Continuous heating and cooling ramps are positioned as a major time-saving feature.

Buying Guidance

How to specify the right system

Premium instrumentation decisions should account for methods, workflow and lifecycle service before the purchase order is issued.

Sizing & throughput

Match heat exchange power to the reactor volume — under-sizing slows ramp rates and wastes shift time.

Compliance & hazloc

PLC touchscreen version is recommended for method-driven users running documented SOPs.

Power & utilities

Standard or advanced explosion-proof is available for C1D1 / C1D2 (or equivalent) installations.

Buyer Notes

What usually matters during internal approval

These points help procurement and engineering move from browsing to approval without the usual back-and-forth.

Buyers running method-driven chemistry often care about ramp speed and repeatability more than nameplate max temperature.

If a PLC option is expected, clarify what is and is not included in the control package and alarms.

We quote utility loads and circuit requirements early so facility approval doesn't bottleneck the install.

Request a quote with process, utility and destination data.

Include the target application, solvent or media, batch size, required temperature or vacuum range, facility power, hazardous-area requirement and destination ZIP code.
